John Gray, CEO of the Autry National Center, attended the meeting and spoke in response to rumors that had circulated verbally and via email. The City Planning and Land Use Management committee is currently considering draft language proposed by Councilmember Reyes and then-Councilmember Villaraigosa, which would create an Interim Control Ordinance for some ridgeline and hillside areas in Mt. Washington, Glassell Park, Montecito Heights and El Sereno. Testimonies from many were heard on Sept. 6, and revisions to the draft are expected shortly.

On June 23, the Mt. Washington Assoc. joined with the Glassell Park Improvement Assoc., the Arroyo Seco, Glassell Park, and Eagle Rock Neighborhood Councils and TERA to hold a forum on the proposed Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance. Over 200 people came to the L A River Center, to listen to and discuss with our councilmembers Reyes and Garcetti and representatives from Liveable Spaces, Central City Assoc., Southland Regional Association of Realtors, Century Housing and MWH Development Corporation.
