Over the summer, at a point between Figueroa and Marmion Way, something was happening. A painting, a mural, what? When it was done it said “Mount Washington Outpost” and it had a collection of icons, masks, skeletons, pretty pictures – what did it mean? I had to ask.

Panel Discussion – the Mount Washington Housing Market
We welcome all to attend this “end of summer” meeting. We are reaching out to realtors in the neighborhood to provide a panel discussion of the status of the market in Mount Washington, to get a feel for what is selling and what the current values are in our neighborhood. This should give us a perspective as to what is happening in our corner of Los Angeles as to why people might want to move in or move out.

When I first heard about test-drilling on possible routes for the proposed 710 freeway tunnel, I didn’t give it much thought. The freeway starts at the Port of Los Angeles and now ends just north of the 10 freeway. Who would think that this could have an impact on Mount Washington?
Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong!
