Summer Film Series, *Hoosiers *will take place on September 17, 2008 at
7:30 PM at the Alex Theatre (216 North Brand Blvd. Glendale, California)
*Proceeds from the screening will go to Glendale’s Relay for Life and
the Glendale Community College’s Women’s Basketball Team.
About Hoosiers
*Based on the incredible true story of how a small-town high school's
basketball team became Indiana State Champs in 1954. Hoosiers is more
than just about a small town and the game of Basketball, it’s the story
of one’s man last chance at redemption and how one town’s dream and
drive carried them to victory. Nominated for two Academy Awards
including Best-supporting actor (Dennis Hopper) and Best Original Score
(Jerry Goldsmith). Starring Gene Hackman, Barbara Hershey, Sheb Wooley,
and Dennis Hopper.
